Join us for a WIT.Connect Evening Event on Thursday, January 15 to hear from Candace Aku, Entrepreneur & Google Solutions Manager!Overcoming FearWomen face many barriers and challenges in our lives that impact us professionally and personally. In many cases, these are based in fear, which is frequently unwarranted and not real. We can be our own worst enemy, and tell ourselves lies and stories that prevent us from taking appropriate actions and risks, and that lead us to making decisions that are safe, known, and keep us from being the best version of ourselves. Candace will reflect on the pivotal moments when fear felt paralyzing—and how realizing she was trapped by her own doubts became the catalyst for change. Through deep self-reflection, she recognized that many of her greatest obstacles were self-imposed. By taking intentional, sometimes small but courageous steps, she began to reinvigorate her career, branch into new opportunities, and advocate for her own growth. Her talk will highlight how embracing risk, challenging limiting beliefs, and taking chances in her own best interest ultimately led her to where she is today.
