< /p>
The GIT Sharing Our Success program is designed for
girls in grades six through 12. The goal of the program is to generate awar
eness and to nurture girl’s interest in science, technology, engineering, a
nd math (STEM).
The Sharing Our Success program offers girls an
opportunity to talk STEM with exhibitors from local STEM organizations, un
iversities and companies (including Amazon!). Girls will be able to ask que
stions of exhibitors such as "What do the STEM professionals in your organi
zation do on a day-to-day basis?" "What education and background does your
organization look for when deciding who to accept or hire?" "How does your
organization support girls who are interested in STEM careers?"
The SOS will also allow girls an opportunity to meet and network with profe
ssional women (including from Amazon!) who have turned their love for STEM
into successful careers in these fields. Students will participate in an in
teractive panel discussion with distinguished women in STEM fields.
<
br />The girls also get an opportunity to win cool prizes and giveaways.
This public program is available to girls in the Washington, DC me

The SOS program is free for studen ts and is made possible by STEM for Her and the generosity of corp orate sponsors such as Amazon!
