Women in Technology Opens Nominations for 2017 Leadership Awards

Falls Church, Va. – October 24, 2016 – Women in Technology (WIT), the premier professional association dedicated of the advancement of women in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia technology community, today announced the call for nominations for the 18th Annual Leadership Awards. Nominations will be accepted through December 2, 2016.
 
This annual Leadership Awards program encourages the recognition of stellar female professionals who are not only leaders in the technology field but also bring a unique vision and talent to the industry, while supporting their community. Both WIT members and non-members are eligible for nominations and winners will be announced at the Leadership Awards Banquet on May 11, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Reston, VA.
 
“The Annual WIT Leadership Awards is an event that spotlights the stories of some remarkable women in the Washington D.C. area.  What makes these women truly inspiring is their dedication and passion for leading, mentoring and giving back to others in their companies and their communities,” said Kathryn Harris, President of Women in Technology.

“WIT honors women in private industry, government, defense, and academia who, through their outstanding capabilities and talents, have set themselves apart in their professional and personal accomplishments.
