 GIT Awards
GIT Camp Awards Program (2024-2025)
Thank you to our members and supporters for helping us achieve a successful 2024-2025 GIT Tech Camp Awards Program. Through this Camp Award Program, GIT aims to inspire middle school students' interest in technology and innovation. By sparking this early curiosity, we hope to nurture a lasting passion that encourages these students to pursue careers in the tech industry.
The GIT Camp Awards Program partnered with three local middle schools in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. to help reduce the financial barriers for middle school girls interested in attending a technology camp in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C.
The Program involved an essay writing competition for grades 6, 7, and 8. Each applicant was required to answer several questions that relate to how they have been inspired by technology. There were 15 applicants, and each application was evaluated by 3 judges.
GIT Camp Awards are funded through the generous support of Women in Technology (WIT).
2024-2025 GIT Camp Award Winners There were 9 winners of the 2024-2025 Girls in Technology (GIT) Technology Camp Scholarship. The winners were the top-ranking among the contest participants, and they are being rewarded for their ability to articulate their interest, passion, and enthusiasm for technology and innovation.
