GIT Awards 

GIT Camp Awards Program (2024-2025) 

The GIT Camp Awards Program partners with three local middle schools in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. to help reduce the financial barriers for middle school girls interested in the technology field.  The GIT Camp Awards are for girls interested in attending a technology camp in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C.  

The 2024-2025 GIT Camp Awards Program involves an essay writing competition for grades 6, 7, and 8. The program requires middle school girls to answer several questions that relate to how the girls have been inspired by technology.  

The participating middle schools will announce the GIT Camp Awards Program. The applications will be accepted in mid-December 2024 through mid-January 2025. The winners of the competition will be selected by early March 2025.  

GIT Camp Awards are funded through the generous support of Women in Technology (WIT).
