WIT sponsors provide a significant portion of the funding and resources for WIT’s many programs. The sponsorship committee is a dynamic team which is responsible for maintaining the relationship with our current sponsors and developing new sponsors. The committee drives the sponsorship program, defining the levels of sponsorship; ensuring sponsors are getting all of the benefits of their investment; responding to inquiries of prospective sponsors and conducting calls to pitch the benefits of sponsorship; renewing sponsorships; and developing, approaching, coordinating new sponsors. 

Activity and Programs

The committee meets once a month via zoom to coordinate efforts related to sponsor development and management to include:

  • Facilitating involvement of sponsors as active WIT members, speakers, hosts of special events, and underwriters of key programs
  • Coordination between sponsors and other WIT committees
  • Monitoring and tracking prospect list

The committee facilitates the following events: 

  • Quarterly in-person roundtables to keep sponsors in touch with WIT
  • Occasional sponsor appreciation events, including the WIT Holiday Party

Volunteering Opportunity

The committee is always seeking new volunteers to assist in the engagement with current sponsors and outreach to new prospective sponsors.  The sponsorship committee is a great opportunity to hone your sales skills. Though a sales or business development background is not required for this committee, volunteers do need to be comfortable presenting and calling key company contacts.
